In Islamic theology, the purpose of Dawah is to invite people, Muslims and non-Muslims, to understand the worship of God as expressed in the Qur'an and the sunnah of Muhammad and to inform them about Muhammad.
Da’is are Muslims who try to lead people to the faith. Their mission and their training is to show that Islam is true and all other religions are false. They have a primary concern with Christianity and they are trained heavily on the bible and how to interpret it to fit their theology while twisting ours. This document is a guide on how to prevent this, educate others and yourself on their tactics, and give a proper response to their false claims.
"Dawah" is an islamic term meaning "gentle invitation" (to Islam), facilitated by wisdom and good character — simply put, it's the islamic version of Evangelism. Inviting non-believers and people from other faiths to Islam through friendly discourse was the original strategy.
The previous generation of dā‘ī (=islamic evangelists), represented by people such as Shabir Ali, Zakir Naik and Ahmed Deedat, tended to follow this pattern with some success, as it was appealing to westerners.
However, as non-muslims began to critically examine their claims and engage their sources directly, it quickly became obvious that Islam could not stand up to scrutiny. As a response, a new generation of dawah emerged, championed by the likes of Mohammed Hijab and Ali Dawah, or even reverts like Andrew Tate — people of utterly dubious character; bullies who thrive on deception, manipulation, harassment, intimidation, lust and greed, and are constantly involved in controversies — yet still adored by millions of muslims.
It can be debated whether they have "corrupted" the once well-intentioned original form of dawah, or whether they simply took its mask off. Regardless, the true intentions of dawah have now become crystal-clear: to attack, slander, twist and ridicule all other religions (especially Christianity, as its most formidable "competitor", but also Judaism, Hinduism, and others), and to promote Islam by any means necessary — which usually consists of lying, boasting, "destroying" people online, calling critics islamophobic, and various forms of intimidation.
A funny acronym that perfectly encapsulates DAWAH is:
Deceive those listening to you
Avoid other topics you can’t answer
Warp the scriptures to make it say what you want
Aggressively lash out when you are caught
Harass those you can’t silence
I person involved in Dawah is called a Dā‘ī and are trained with a set of talking points known as the "Dawah Script", which can be very effective on people who know very little about Islam (or even their own religion).
Their goal is to overwhelm unwitting individuals with slick arguments and pressure them to convert quickly (often by smothering them with fake niceness). Conversely, du‘āt (plurality of dā‘ī) are highly allergic to interfaith dialog and good-faith discussions with knowledgeable non-muslims, and run away from them as fast as possible — which brings us to the purpose of this document.
The real-world Dawah is the opposite of that, being championed by the likes of Mohamed Hijab, Ali Dawah, or even reverts like Andrew Tate -- people of utterly dubious character; bullies who thrive on deception, manipulation, harassment, intimidation, lust and greed, and are constantly involved in controversies -- yet still adored by millions of muslims. A manifest to the true character of Islam, which reveals itself whenever allowed to.
Christians are encouraged to educate themselves and others on their tactics, and give a proper response to their false claims.
