Home > Learn Bible Basics for Muslims
This module considers the specific identity of Jesus mentioned in the Bible compared to the Islamic "Isa" mentioned in the Quran.
This will explore the strong claims of Christ's divinity in the New Testament (e.g., John 1:1, Colossians 1:15-20, Hebrews 1:1-3) including from Jesus and his disciples who spread the Gospel (Good News) message and them establihing the Christian Church after the Ascension and Pentecost.
This looks at the common Islamic misunderstanding (often stemming from Surah 112) that the phrase "Son of God" implies biological procreation (God having a wife).
This title "Son" is about nature, relationship, and authority which denotes that Jesus shares the exact same divine essence as the Father.
Christianity believes only God can save people from sin. If Jesus is only a prophet (as in "Islamic Isa"), he cannot offer atonement for sins but that is why God had to send the real Jesus in the flesh. The Quranic "Gospel" of being a "good Muslim" removes the Old and New Testament major themes and the New Testament condemns as the "spirit of antichrist".
