Home > Learn Bible Basics for Muslims
This final module contrasts the fundamental mechanisms of salvation in both faiths.
We will examine the concept that salvation is achieved through submission (Islam) to God’s law, fulfilling the Five Pillars, and living a moral life, leading to the Day of Judgment where deeds are weighed (Mizan).
We will present the biblical alternative: Salvation is a free gift (grace), received through faith, not earned by works (Ephesians 2:8-9). This grace is rooted entirely in the finished, sufficient work of Christ on the cross (the Atonement).
The central contrast is between Islamic uncertainty (hoping that good deeds outweigh bad, with only martyrs guaranteed paradise) and Christian assurance (confidence in salvation because Christ has already paid the price in full).
