1. Revelation for Social Friction:
The requirement to speak from behind a partition (hijab) arose from guests overstaying at a wedding, using divine decree to resolve minor domestic discomforts.

The Quran Verse
Surah 33:53:
...And when you ask [his wives] for something, ask them from behind a partition (hijab). That is purer for your hearts and their hearts. And it is not for you to harm the Messenger of Allah or to marry his wives after him, ever.
The Historical Context:
The "Verse of the Partition" was reportedly revealed because guests at Muhammad’s wedding stayed too long and he felt uncomfortable with them seeing his wives.
Eternal Celibacy for Wives:
The verse forbade Muhammad’s wives from ever remarrying after his death.
Critics argue this was an act of posthumous jealousy. By labeling them "Mothers of the Believers" (33:6), the Quran effectively locked these women into a life of isolation after Muhammad passed away, ensuring no other man could ever "succeed" him in his household.
