The surah opens by exalting the Quran:
Surah 43:4:
And indeed it is, in the Mother of the Book with Us, exalted and full of wisdom.
The "Mother of the Book" refers to the heavenly tablet (the source of all revelation). The Quran claims that the Torah, the Gospel, and the Quran all originate from this identical, uncorrupted heavenly source.
If the Torah and Gospel came from the Umm al-Kitab, then their core theological messages must be identical to the source.
A Christian can argue: "If the current Bible teaches the Trinity, the Deity of Christ, and the Crucifixion, and the Quran claims the original text came from the same heavenly tablet, then either the heavenly tablet contains contradictions, or the Quran's claim to confirm the previous books is false."
