Surah 73:20:
And others (still) are fighting for the cause of Allah.
Islamic theology claims the Quran was perfectly compiled and arranged under divine guidance. However, Surah 73 contains a glaring chronological anomaly that shatters its structural integrity.
While Verses 1–19 are universally recognized as early Meccan (dating to the very beginning of Muhammad’s ministry when he had no military power), Verse 20 suddenly mentions "those fighting in the cause of Allah" (yuqatiloona fee sabeeli-Allahi).
Armed combat and warfare were not ordained or physically possible until years later after the migration to Medina. Inserting a late Medinan military verse into the bottom of a peaceful, early Meccan spiritual exhortation proves that the text was retroactively spliced, heavily edited, and patched together years later to fix the glaring error of the unfeasible night-prayer command.
