The surah details the creation and balancing of the human soul but stumbles into a severe moral and theological paradox that completely undermines human responsibility and divine holiness.
Surah 91:7-8:
And the soul and He who proportioned it. And inspired it its wickedness and its righteousness...
The Moral Flaw: The classical Arabic term "alhamaha" means to directly inject, instill, or inspire into the core of something. The text explicitly states that God directly implanted or inspired wickedness (fujur) into the human soul as part of its baseline design.
This makes God the direct, efficient cause and author of human sin. If God actively instills wickedness into a person's soul, He cannot logically or justly punish that person for executing the very wickedness He engineered within them.
This directly clashes with the Biblical standard of an absolutely Holy God who cannot be tempted by evil and who inspires only righteousness (James 1:13-17).
