2. Redundancy Against Divine Omniscience:
Requiring a literal deposition from the physical planet to expose human conduct conflicts with the premise of an omniscient God who already possesses direct, unmediated knowledge of all deeds.
The surah bases its apocalyptic dread on a primitive, anthropomorphic framework where the physical planet possesses an active memory, a conscious mind, and a literal vocal apparatus.
Surah 99:4-5:
That Day, it will report its news. Because your Lord has commanded it.
The Physicalist Flaw:
The text declares that during the end times, the physical crust of the Earth will act as an individual legal witness, literally vocalizing and "reporting" the specific sins and deeds committed on top of its soil.
This is a classic manifestation of ancient Near Eastern and pre-Islamic Arabian animism, which attributes conscious agency, hearing, and speech to inanimate geographical features. An omniscient, immaterial God does not require a localized, physical planet to open its "mouth" and serve as a recording device for human behavior.
True divine omniscience implies that God possesses total, independent knowledge of all actions without relying on a theatrical deposition from the dirt.
