It has resulted in the largest following in the world; 1.6 billion people
"Islam is growing to be the largest following, a sign of its truth and appeal, drawing people to Allah's way. The Qur'an says, ‘It is He who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion' (Surah At-Tawbah, 9:33). Today, millions embrace it, outpacing others, because it's clear and complete. Jesus (peace be upon him) paved the way—‘And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O Children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you"' (Surah As-Saff, 61:6)—calling to Allah alone.
The Qur'an affirms, ‘The Messiah, son of Mary, was no more than a messenger' (Surah Al-Ma'idah, 5:75). His message lives in Islam, which spreads because it's Allah's final call: ‘Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam' (Surah Aal-E-Imran, 3:19). Numbers show people recognize this—submitting to the Creator as Jesus did, not the distortions that followed him."
The assertion that Islam's following size is a "sign of its truth" is a fundamental logical error, confusing popularity with veracity. Truth is not determined by democratic majority (Matthew 7:13-14); it is secured by objective evidence.
The Facts of Global Adherence
Even numerically, the opponent's claim is misleading. Current estimates (circa 2025) confirm:
The Conclusion
Christians dismiss the appeal to statistics. The growth rate reflects demographics, not divine validation. Our faith rests solely on the intrinsic, objective truth of Jesus Christ, the Divine Son of God (John 1:1, 14), whose authority is proven by His Resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:3-4), not by population charts.
