The overwhelming number of biblical stories mentioned in the Quran come from the Old Testament. The Quran clearly sees itself as a continuation of the previous scriptures so will break into the three Hebrew Old Testament areas of Torah, Prophets and Writings.
As the Arabic Quran is only a little larger that the Greek New Testamant four Gospels then it is not surprising that many stories are missing completely.
