Home > Arguments for the Qur'an's excellence
"This day I have perfected your religion for you, completed my favours upon you and chosen Islam as your Deen" (Surah 5:3)
"The Qur'an is a complete guidance—covering worship, law, morals, and life's purpose, leaving nothing essential out. Allah says, ‘This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion' (Surah Al-Ma'idah, 5:3). It's a full roadmap from Allah, clear and practical, for all times and people.
Jesus (peace be upon him) received the Injeel—‘We gave him the Injeel, in which was guidance and light' (Surah Al-Ma'idah, 5:46)—but what's left in the Bible is incomplete, silent on many matters, and altered. The Qur'an confirms, ‘The Messiah, son of Mary, was no more than a messenger' (Surah Al-Ma'idah, 5:75). It finishes what Jesus and all prophets began, guiding us to worship Allah alone with everything we need, straight from the Creator."
The Qur'an's argument for "perfection" 5:3 is based on circular logic.
2. The Bible's Purpose is Different
The Bible is not "incomplete," but serves a different purpose than the Qur'an.
3. The Core Theological Truth
The central issue is Jesus's identity.
If textual perfection is just about what a book doesn't contain, then the phone book is clearly the most perfected, all-encompassing guidance ever revealed.
